Mill Valley Edit Suite

The Northcutt edit suite is in walking distance from downtown Mill Valley, just north of San Francisco at the base of Mt. Tamalpais. The studio’s design was inspired by Patsy’s days as an online editor, with soft lighting and the noisy hard drives and server in a separate machine room, creating a whisper quiet workspace. There is beautiful outdoor seating, a waterfall nestled in redwoods up the street, and nearby hiking, swimming and mountain biking.

The Hypocrisy

PRACTICING WHAT WE PREACH
Northcutt has long been aware of the environmental costs of filmmaking. So we are mindful to tread lightly where possible: from using remote workflows, paying more for 100% renewable electricity, and hiring local crews; to licensing existing footage and shipping and receiving things slowly rather than overnight; to eating responsibly and ebiking for errands; to making sure that our stuff gets a new home as soon as we no longer need it so it can be reused before it’s obsolete, donating equipment to ewastecollective.org and paying GreenDisk.com to recycle our Technotrash, and more.
